An award-winning author, and a Canadian by birth, Nancy Huston studied in New York, before completing her studies in Paris, where she remains.
Despite acquiring command of the French language later in life, she has authored acclaimed works in both English and French, and was the recipient of the 1993 Canadian Governor General's Award for Fiction in French for Cantique des Plaines.
