WALTER HUSTON
Walter Huston was born in 1884 in Toronto, Canada, and was a touring actor and vaudvillian before he became a star on Broadway and in Hollywood. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1948 for The Treasure of Sierra Madre . He was the father of director/actor John Huston and grandfather of actress Anjelica Huston. He appeared in son John's first two films: The Maltese Falcon and In This Our Life . He received a Best Actor nomination in 1936 for Dodsworth , in 1941 for All That Money Can Buy , and in 1942 for his role in Yankee Doodle Dandy . Walter Huston died in 1950.
